Kellie Bertels was born in Jefferson City, Missouri in 1978. Kellie graduated high school in May of 1996, and pursued her preparatory education at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice in May of 1999. Kellie went on to pursue her legal education at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law where she graduated with her Juris Doctorate in December of 2001 and was admitted to practice law in the State of Missouri in April of 2002.
Kellie began her practice in a law firm in Jefferson City, Missouri, becoming a partner of Bandré, Hunt & Snider, LLC, in July of 2006. Kellie is a member of The Missouri Bar Association and Cole County Bar Association. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Women, and was named as one of the Top Attorneys in North America by the Who’s Who Directories in 2016. The News Tribune JCMO Choice Awards selected her as the first place attorney in 2015, plus she received an honorable mention as an attorney by the News Tribune Reader’s Choice in 2016.
Since graduating law school, Kellie has practiced in the areas of family law, personal injury, traffic law, and estate planning. She has gained unrivaled knowledge and experience in litigating divorces involving large estates, allegations of child/drug abuse, hidden assets and military law. Over the years, Kellie has earned a reputation in mid-Missouri as an attentive and aggressive advocate for parent’s rights in fighting for custody against other parents and against the State.
